Absent from the major redesign Apple Music went through in iOS 10.0, star ratings make a comeback in iOS 10.2 as a setting. Enabling star ratings from Music’ settings will add a ‘Rate Song’ button to a song’s action sheet, allowing you to assign 1-5 stars to a song. Top rated songs will be automatically added to the default ‘My Top Rated’ playlist in the Music app.

I have both my iPad and iPhone updated to iOS 10.2 beta. I am able to have the old Videos app still on my iPhone and home sharing works perfectly fine on that. But it won't even let me download the old Videos app from the App Store even though it gives me the card to view and download it when I do a springboard search. I have multiple devices for the family with multiple accounts, all of which share the same Home Sharing account. It used to work, and does on my personal device, but not the rest of the family sharing the same home sharing account.

IOS 10.2 uses the headphone icon in the status bar (previously used for W1-enabled devices only, like the Beats Solo3) for every Bluetooth headphone. When wireless headphones are connected, iOS 10.2 will show a headphone icon and battery level in the status bar. I don't see any obvious way to watch shared videos with the TV app. I went to its Settings pane and signed out of my Apple ID and back in, but still nothing.
If you have more than one iTunes instance running on your network, and they're all shared on the same account, they will all show up there. On your Apple TV, go to the Home Screen, select Computers, and choose a shared library. IPad 3 will eventually allow me to get Home Sharing content on my Mac Mini. But it is much slower to get there, and sometimes I'll have to force quit the TV app and reopen it once or twice to get it to finally connect to the content.
New IOS 10.2 TV app breaks Home Sharing for Home Videos
We also boast an active community focused on purchasing decisions and technical aspects of the iPhone, iPod, iPad, and Mac platforms. When you start the app, you should be on the "Library" tab (check tab at bottom, you have "Library", "Watch Now", "Store" and "Search"). Select Home Sharing, then enter your Apple ID and click Turn on Home Sharing. Use the same Apple ID for every computer or device on your Home Sharing network.

The TV app is part of a bigger plan for Apple to unify and simplify the experience of watching television into a single app deeply integrated with iOS. There is a new widget, Siri integration, support for single sign-on, a tvOS counterpart, and more. We’ll have a dedicated review for iOS 10.2’s TV app on MacStories later this week. Try to search and download it straight from the App Store, not the spotlight search. I've re downloaded the videos app several times. Your home sharing libraries will be listed on the Library page, you have "TV Shows", "Movies" and then the name of your library, with the name you picked in iTunes' General Preferences, Library Name.
Someone please tell me how to use Home Sharing on iOS 10.2

Apple’s extensive emoji update doesn’t stop at characters and objects that will likely turn out to be extremely popular among iOS users. The company has also completely redesigned their emoji visual style with a modern, more realistic 3D appearance that increases the detail of every character. My son has a iPad Mini 2 that will not connect using our Home Sharing account. He has his own iTunes/iCloud account with family sharing set up with the same iCloud/iTunes account as our Homes Sharing.
THIS WEEK'S SPONSOR:
I don't buy stuff from iTunes store so this was a first for me. It removed the Videos App on my iPhone and iPad and replaced it with TV.app. TV.app is great on my Apple TV 64, but aweful on my iPad and iPhones. My 2700+ home videos, lectures, and video projects just became unusable as of yesterday unless I’m sitting in front of my Apple TV in the living room. I can still access them on my Apple TV via the computers icon; Thank you for not removing that functionality, but my iphones and iPads became a lot less useful since yesterday.

Sign in with your Apple ID. Use the same Apple ID for every computer or device on your Home Sharing network. Go to the APP Itunes store, not the tv app. The bottom right navigation is Purchased... This should look familiar to you.
IPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus owners can now choose from three additional static wallpapers based on Apple’s marketing images for the new devices. You can disable notifications at any time in your settings menu. Now that I have updated the iPad Pro to the latest Beta of 10.2, I am able to see my Shared Library from my Mac Mini, but when I select it, nothing happens. It did show 10 or so of my movies on my Mac last night but I have 250+ and this morning it refused to load any.
My iPhone 5 remembers that I was looking at home videos, but iPad and iPad mini makes me start with recently added. The tv app is extremely slow... Pretty disappointed with this update. The iOS TV app is currently pretty useless, as trying to find a show on Hulu is also slow, and rather clunky as it switches from the TV app to the Hulu app to watch the show. On Apple TV, you can also tell it to watch live news and sports, including a glimpse of what's live at any given moment. And if you're not sure what to watch, Siri can offer recommendations. I redownloaded the videos app personally myself.

Here's what I see on the Library tab when I start the app. I haven't purchased or rented any videos, so that is OK, but there's nothing about home sharing at all. I have videos in iTunes on my Mac desktop that are shared using Home Sharing with my Apple ID. Home sharing is turned on and working; I can watch the videos on my Apple TV.
